Raphael Borrel, Head of solvency II services at avantage and manager of the Solvency II experts group addressed challenges that the insurance industry often faces in relation to risk management and how the implementation of the Solvency II directive could be used to mitigate them.
During this presentation, Raphael also presented a suggested risk appetite framework and governance for the management of risks and concluded on the roles and responsibilities of key functions involved in the management of risks.
