avantage Presentation to 6th Session of the Working Group of German Banks
On 5 February 2009, avantage Capita hosted the sixth meeting of the Working Group of German Banks based in Luxembourg which is a platform to exchange information among practitioners regarding the preparation of the ICAAP.
12 banks attended the sixth session which included a presentation on the approach adopted by banks in Luxembourg to identify, monitor, mitigate, and measure the risks they are or may be exposed to in the context of Pillar II.
The session included a regulatory update; discussion of Pillar II methodologies as well as forthcoming changes to the Capital Requirements Directive by Anja Thoste, Managing Consultant avantage Capita Limited. Mr Christoph Heising, Vice President - Head of Risk Department Commerzbank International S.A. also spoke on implementing ICAAP in practice.
